We love Tremblant, and we find that if we put a little wish out there, Tremblant eventually answers. Once again, the mountain has delivered. For a while we have been yearning for a little beer bar that brews some of their own beer but also features Quebec microbrews. Of course the amazing
Baril Roulante fits this description exactly, but it's all the way over in Val David. We wanted something a little closer, and it has arrived.

This may be the cutest beer bar ever |
La Maison du Brasseur opened recently in St. Jovite, on a cute little side street right across from
Resto Seb. They occupy a century-old building with large windows in front, neatly furnished with large wooden tables and chairs for guests. Not a huge place but plenty of room in these early days. There is no food served here, but they have chips and jerky available and also allow outside food to be brought in. The main attraction however are the taps, two of which are in-house and the rest are guest taps. The owners aim to have up to six of their own brews available in time.
Note - you will also see their other business listed, which is you-brew of both beer and wine. We haven't tried this yet but may do someday. Meantime the pub is what we we are after now.
This is a comfortable little spot with lively conversation centred around the bar area. It clearly attracts locals who wander up from the nearly neighbourhoods but is also welcoming to English-speaking newcomers like us. We have made a couple visits during our July 2018 vacation and plan to make many more!

October 2018 Update
The Maison is now open earlier, starting from 4pm versus 5. And, they have 15 taps which I think is an increase. These are important developments (-:
Jan 2019 Update
Hours have been extended yet again, now opening at 11am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and noon on Sundays. Looks like the pub is doing well.
