Le Mouton Noir

A shady spot on the Mouton patio

If you've read any of my other posts, you'll know we are in love with Val David, one of the cutest towns in the Laurentians.  As you head into town along rue de l'eglise, you cross over the bridge that spans the riviere du nord, and immediately on your left is a charming little place called Le Mouton Noir.  It was another one of those places we drove by and thought "hey that looks like a nice spot, we should try that sometime".  And so we did!

We had been out cycling and were looking for a spot to have a quick snack and a beer.  While our Val David fave is Le Baril Roulante, we decided to try something new and found a shady spot on the patio.  They had a few decent beers on tap (always a priority for me) and a nice menu of simple but delicious items.  We enjoyed our meal and would definitely return for lunch in the future.  The patio is also great...it doesn't have a view of the river but you can her the rapids through the forest so that's calming.  The interior is cute too...probably a fun spot on a Saturday night.
