My wife and I drove past Le Vieux Four (the old oven) countless times on our way to the SAQ or the Metro, and each time we said " looks nice...we should try it some time". We were right. It is nice...cosy in the winter and an amazing patio in the summer. Le Vieux Four describes themselves as an Italian family restaurant, and true to their word, it is a family destination for people looking for good food, reasonably priced. And it's spacious, so no problem getting a seat no matter how large your group might be, even without reservations.
They have a sizable menu, but all I ever eat there is the pizza because it's marvelous, and the best I've had in the region. They do a true thin crust, baked in the enormous wood-burning oven that dominates the back of the restaurant. My wife has explored other menu options and everything is consistently delicious. Not much of a wine list to speak of, but you can get a decently priced glass or half bottle to go with your meal.

May 17 update: Had dinner at Vieux Four again last night and it was amazing. On a Thursday night at 6:30, the place was already bustling, a testament to the quality of the food. I of course had pizza, and my wife had a combo plate of fettucine alfredo and veal in a wine sauce. Just terrific. Best Italian food in the Tremblant area, hands down.
